Richard F. Seamans, CFA, MBA

Founder and Managing Director

Richard F. Seamans

Mr. Seamans serves as the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of SCM. He founded the Firm in 1986, which began as a strategic advisor to companies and institutions on interest rates, currencies and commodity prices. The Firm achieved strong investment results on its mining and conventional energy investments from 2002 to 2012. Convictions about the costs and environmental benefits of renewable technologies led Mr. Seamans to begin investing in renewable energy and related technologies in 2013. He was previously a Managing Director and Senior Group Vice President for Scudder, Stevens & Clark, Ltd. in Boston, Massachusetts, now part of Deutsche Bank, where he directed tax-exempt bond research, policy and investments totaling $3.9 billion.

Mr. Seamans is a member of the Board of Overseers for the Handel and Haydn Society in Boston, MA. He is a past trustee and member of the Investment Committee of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA.

He received his BA from Duke University in North Carolina, and his MBA, with distinction, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Eleanor Mulvaney Seamans, MS

Mrs. Seamans is the Chief Executive Officer of Seamans Capital Management. She joined as the Chief Operating Officer in 1993. She is responsible for the Firm’s strategic growth and organizational structure as well as oversight for the functions of the Firm’s daily operations. Designed around the core principles of continuous learning, collaborative leadership and strong working relationships, Seamans Capital Management is positioned to operate effectively in a dynamic global environment. She is the Founder of the Glastonbury Company, a Waltham, MA based consulting firm specializing in personal and corporate transformational learning. Mrs. Seamans has more than 20 years of experience as an organizational consultant in financial services, working primarily with senior corporate leaders and entrepreneurs to translate vision into organizational effectiveness and profitable performance.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Public Sector Consortium in Cambridge, MA and the Board of Trustees at Emmanuel College, Boston, MA, where she founded the Mulvaney Leadership Institute in 2008. She is a consulting member of the Society for Organizational Learning in Cambridge, MA.

Mrs. Seamans is a member of the Tiffany Circle of the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Seamans is also a member of the American Red Cross Tiffany Circle of Boston. Mrs. Seamans received her BA from Emmanuel College and her MS from Simmons College in Boston, from which she graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Qing (Sunny) Huang, CFA, FRM, MBA, PhD

Portfolio Manager

Dr. Qing (Sunny) Huang

Dr. Huang is a Portfolio Manager with responsibilities including asset allocation and research for the energy, agriculture, and commodities sectors. Her global macroeconomic and asset research additionally benefits from her fluency in Mandarin. Dr. Huang was a Senior Research Analyst from 2010 to 2012, having initially joined the Firm’s graduate-level research internship program in 2010. Dr. Huang now leads the research internship program as well. She was previously a Research Scientist in the Institute of Chemical Biology & Drug Discovery, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has authored and co-authored six papers in peer-reviewed journals

Dr. Huang received her MBA from Boston College Carroll Graduate School of Management, a PhD in Chemistry from SUNY at Stony Brook, and a BS in Chemistry from Nanjing University in China. She is certified as a Financial Risk Manager and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

William A. Brady, MBA

Managing Director, Private Equity

William A. Brady

Mr. Brady is the Managing Director of Private Equity at SCM, focusing on the strategic growth of the firm’s private company holdings. He is working closely with the management team at EMOH, a private water remediation company, to guide EMOH through its rapid growth phase, minimize ramp up issues, and accelerate the company’s ability to generate significant free cash flow. Mr. Brady joined the firm in 2018. Prior to joining the firm in 2018, he held CEO and CFO roles at technology, manufacturing, and media companies on three continents.

Most recently, as CFO at KaBloom, a technology company, Mr. Brady led the executive team through developing the strategy and operating plan to drive growth and market dominance. Prior to this, Mr. Brady was CEO of Clean Plates Omnimedia, a digital media company in New York City. Before that, he was CEO of Progeny Solar where he led the international manufacturing company through to full-scale production. He also led financial operations for Evergreen Solar during the firm’s launch of its 800-person robotic manufacturing plant in Massachusetts. Earlier in his career, he managed the restructuring of Kinko’s worldwide treasury operation as part of a company-wide turnaround. His career began at The Boeing Company, where he completed their selective Management Rotation Training Program.

Bill holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Rupesh Goyal, MBA

Senior Research Analyst

Rupesh Goyal

Mr. Goyal is a Senior Research Analyst at Seamans Capital Management, and joined the Firm as a graduate-level intern in 2017. His responsibilities include research in the technology and energy sectors, and building models to ensure workflow efficiency. Before joining SCM, he worked as a Finance Associate at Edelweiss Financials, where he was responsible for advising high net worth individuals. Prior to that, he was an IT consultant at Accenture and has over two years of experience in computer programming from working for small startups, including his own.

Mr. Goyal holds an MBA degree from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, where he also served as a Portfolio Manager for the BC Endowment Fund. He also holds an Engineering degree from Punjab University, India.

Nicole Camba

Senior Operations Manager

Nicole Camba

Mrs. Camba is the Senior Operations Manager for Seamans Capital Management. She joined the firm in 2019. She oversees the operations of the company, helping the team work together in the most efficient and productive way.

Mrs. Camba brings 15 years’ experience in financial operations to the firm. Prior to joining SCM she was a Vice President of Operations for Aberdeen Standard Investments, a U.K.-based investment management firm.

Mrs. Camba earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Finance and minor in Biotechnology from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Cody Gibson, CFA

Senior Operations and Investment Analyst

Cody Gibson

Mr. Gibson is a Senior Operations and Investment Analyst for Seamans Capital Management. He joined the Firm in 2019. Mr. Gibson brings 6 years’ experience in financial operations and analytics to the firm. Prior to joining SCM he was an Investment Analytics Analyst for Arrowstreet Capital, a Boston-based investment management firm.

Mr. Gibson earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and minor in Information Systems from the Sellinger School of Business at Loyola University Maryland. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
